Mendenhall Glacier

Our cruise to Alaska
June 25 - July 1, 2005
Mike & Barbara, Hal & Nancy
Mike & Barbara planned a cruise to Alaska and it sounded like fun so here we are!
Cruising to Alaska is a great way to see the most sights possible in a week.
We began the cruise in Vancouver, Canada and traveled up through Ketchikan and Skagway,
learning about the gold rush and on to Juneo (the capital city) where we hiked around Mendenhall Glacier. We then traveled to Icy Straight (an Indian town), and ended in Skagway where we took a boat up a fiord and saw whales, dolphins and other wildlife and Aialik Glacier.

Here we are in front of Aialik Glacier

Skagway Trainride
We took a train ride on a line built in the
gold rush era in Skagway.
